The "Perfect Champions"

The 2011 boys varsity were the "Perfect Champions": they went 12-0 in regular-season dual meets and won the SMAC Championship team title (per coach Christopher Jones, Oct. 31, 2026). At the SMAC Championships at Oak Ridge Park on Oct. 27, 2011, Christopher Jones won the individual title in 16:33 (MileSplit all-decade retrospective). Teammates Robert Keim (16:37.57), Patrick Jones (16:59.78), Garrett Davis (17:29.84) and Craig Prather (17:38.62) completed the Eagles’ top five (Athletic.net times). Two weeks later the boys placed 10th at the 4A state meet, the program’s first top-10 state team finish in the stored results.

Katy Bonaro, a 2011 standout on the girls team, drew the huddle below.
